 We
are pleased to announce
that FTVentures has
led an investment group in an equity financing of Global
Document Solutions (GDS), a provider of technology-enabled
document outsourcing services. The financing, connected to the
retirement of co-CEO Richard Manfredi, will enable the company
to expand its current service offering and develop new
vertical market segments. Mark
Goodstadt will remain Chairman and CEO, a
position he previously shared with Manfredi.
National
City Equity Partners, an FTVentures Limited Partner and
subsidiary of National City Corporation, joined
FTVentures in the
financing of GDS, a company well positioned for growth due to
its state-of-the-art technology platform and proven services
capabilities in a rapidly expanding market. The document
outsourcing market is projected to reach $35 billion by 2006.
GDS has a well-established blue chip client base, many of
which are leading financial institutions, and deep financial
services expertise, creating an ideal strategic fit for
FTVentures.
