FTVentures Commits $30 Million to Pure-Play Data Analytics Outsourcing Firm

Mu SigmaFTVentures is pleased to announce that it has committed $30 million to Mu Sigma, the leading independent provider of high quality analytical decision support services. The funding will support the further expansion of Mu Sigma’s high end analytics capabilities delivered cost effectively from its Bangalore, India delivery center.

Mu Sigma helps clients institutionalize analytics in their organizations through a global delivery model, augmenting a client’s internal decision-making leadership with an onshore team of domain experts and business professionals and a dedicated offshore team of mathematicians and scientific practitioners. The Company recruits and trains the top mathematicians in India and leverages its best-in-class processes and domain expertise in statistics, econometrics and operations research.

We are extremely enthusiastic about this opportunity given Mu Sigma’s strong leadership position as an independent pure-play data analytics company. The strong demand for its services is evidenced by the blue chip client relationships it has already established including US Bank, Allstate, Microsoft, Wal-Mart, and Pfizer.

Brad Bernstein, FTVentures Partner and Head of Business Services, has joined the Mu Sigma board of directors.
