We value long-term themes over fads

Focusing on enterprise technology & services, financial services, and payments & transaction processing, we pursue a theme-based strategy that identifies and capitalizes on emerging structural changes in markets, as opposed to short-term fads. This allows us to leverage the knowledge and networks built from our prior investments in each domain to help create breakout opportunities for emerging companies and accelerate rapid growth. Through Q3 2020, the portfolio companies in our most recent fund averaged 50%+ revenue growth.

We value substance over hype

FTV targets companies competing in complex, high-growth markets where our deep domain expertise can help further accelerate growth and is complementary to achieving ambitious long term goals.  These companies are already building robust customer bases. They are growing quickly –  with a compelling value proposition for their customers – and are poised to expand through sustainable high operating leverage. Most often, these companies’ risks are executional in nature, and our experience growing and scaling companies provides the necessary guidance to overcome challenges. Typically, we invest between $10 million to $85 million with a focus on fueling internal growth, making strategic acquisitions, expanding geographic reach and meeting shareholder liquidity needs. Investment criteria include:

  • $10 million – $100 million annualized revenue
  • 20%+ historical and near term revenue growth
  • Blue chip customer relationships that often generate recurring revenue
  • Clear forward revenue visibility

Our investment professionals share the challenges and objectives of our management teams and actively participate at the board level, but leave day-to-day operations to company management teams, who have already built impressive businesses.
